Well, I guess there are many big rotaries there, but the one I meant is at the edge of the Fells, the Winchester exit. I once had some native Californians out there visiting with me, and I still remember their reaction. First, shock at this thing called a Rotary, second, awe that one had been incorporated into the 'freeway' system.
('freeway' is in quote tongs because it is not a word used by residents of Massachusetts, the word used back there is 'highway' which is used to refer to things like Route 3 (2 lane street) as well as things like Route 128 (8 lane freeway). And route is always pronounced 'root' or else they won't understand what you're talking about.)
