Washington is on the verge of passing a marriage equality law, and then there will be the inevitable attempt to overturn it by initiative, which will almost certainly fail. Things are turning up roses on that front lately.
Speaking of married -- I finally found and transcribed the script for the ceremony I wrote for you -- I was thinking of putting it up in a locked post on DW/LJ. Is that ok with you? (Or unlocked, if you are ok with that!)
Let's see... um... no, that's not it... Ah, OK, the sanctity of my 7 years of marriage has not been damaged by this court decision. Whew.
BUT. If a Supreme Court decision for marriage equality causes me to renew my vows in a tulle-crammed disaster area of a wedding dress and fifty pounds of Kardashian false eyelashes, and then drop poor Eric like a hot rock 3 months later, I'll know whom to blame.
(seriously, I'm going to be praying that the Supreme Court kills Prop. 8 and similar bills dead. That much wrongheaded hate should never have passed.)
