Shiny! (Worldcon Costume update)

Work continues... we're on schedule!

The original glitter-paint embellishment on Conrad's jumpsuit didn't read from stage at Conzilla as well as I hoped it might. It needed tarting up a bit.

Last night [livejournal.com profile] bovil and I went to [livejournal.com profile] lobolance's house for dinner and he'd very kindly cleared and vacuumed the living room floor so I could spread the jumpsuit out and glue some acrylic stones onto it to catch more light.

I've got a few to add to the back, and *maybe* a couple on the legs, but it's amazing what just a little bit of embellishment can do. Not bad for something that started out a painter's jumpsuit, eh?

Those big starbursts with red jewels look like, um, er, areola? Or are they placed up higher???? Are you going to have flares on the pants, too?
Otherwise, looks...SHINY!

They are higher. If you go into the Conrad album and page back, you can find some long shots of the original paint job on the jumpsuit. The jewels are just being put into the starbursts.

oops... made that reply from a non-signed-in machine. It was me, though...;-)
