Ready-Steady-Sew at Silicon

One of my program items at Silicon was a preview screening of the raw DVD footage of Ready, Steady, Sew!, the half-time entertainment I produced (with lots of help, especially from John Maizels) at Interaction, the 63rd World Science Fiction Convention held last August in Glasgow.

About 3 dozen people attended to see the video and hear my commentary. I'm very pleased to report that even in this very rough form, they found it an entertaining hour. Only one person didn't stay for the entire show (he had to catch his ride home), and they laughed, groaned, and cheered in all the right places. I even caught a few lines this time that I missed when we were doing it live at the Clyde Auditorium!

It was a great show...though I missed the last 20 minutes of the actual showing as my friends were ready to head to Marin/Tiburon, and were going to drop me off in SF on their way.
It was great seeing you guys...sorry about what happened to the gate. The look on your face when it fell was one I never want to see again. It still looked great after it was pieced back together. I sooooo want one...but I don't have THAT kind of money...or I'd have an excellent iPod like the one at your party.

Congratulations!

Any word on this showing at BayCon 2006 perhaps?

Once again, great work, Kevin! As you know, I have one of the rough-cuts as well, but I stil haven't gone back to look at it, which I should, because I actually stepped out part way through RSS to call Cheryl and tell her how well things were going, then came back in for the big finish. Sorry I couldn't be there this past weekend, but as you know, I was shuffled off to Chicago for ten days for work purposes.
