A weekend with friends at Baycon

kprocheThis weekend Andy and I took a little break from the whirlwind of Imperial life to go to BayCon 2004, the Bay Area regional science fiction convention.
As usual we had a great time, but it seemed I was running around just as much as a 4-court event weekend! Several of our court members (Michelle and Tommy, Marko, Elaine and Loren, Wander, and Lance) joined us there (it was a first visit for Marko, Michelle and Tommy!).
Andy and I judged the masquerade, and I put in my charity hours by acting as an auctioneer and helping the convention raise $2800 for their charities this year, Chabot Space and Science Center and the Clarion East writers workshop.
Oh, and Andy and I were announced as the Fan Guests of Honor for BayCon 2005!
Tomorrow night is our monthly court meeting at the DeFrank center and Saturday 10 of us will be at a table at the GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco
