Hurrah, it's done!

I finished my able seaman's uniform today, including the dickie and adding a drill pocket inside the jumper.

My friend Judith did it on her embroidery machine for me. bovil and I haven't invested in one of those yet.

It is a good job. I keep looking at the Singer Futura as it is the cheapest but even that is a lot of money. And I would need to run VirtualPC on my mac to control it so it wound be a bit clunky.

Looks great Kevin! Reminds me of my Dad's uniform from WWII (which I currently have at home).

I tried to wear the outfit when I was 16, but had to pour myself in). My younger son Scot wore it for his high school history class speech as a sophomore, but under his regular clothes.

I am impressed by your dedication to creating authentic garments, since I saw your Japanese outfit in green & white plaid, -
