I'm looking for a set of these (or something very similar)

(here's the merchandise page in the interest of marketing fairness: http://www.clearlyacrylic.com/fasapesh.html )

These are faceted acrylic salt and pepper shakers. Something slightly shorter would also be good.

For my use: needs to be faceted, needs to be transparent plastic, needs to be roughly cylindrical/truncated cone/beehive shaped.
Does not need to be a salt shaker or a sealed container. Does not need to be new as long as I can clean them out and they are transparent.

I'm looking for a local (Bay Area) source; I can happily order these but it'll be 6 bucks shipping for a 7 dollar item!

Toothpick dispenser (http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=367&PHPSESSID=201101221140421275467659) from Tap Plastics.

Sometimes restaurant supply places carry these, but it's erratic. Have a minion who can swing by a Smart N Final or other catering store to see if they have something similar in stock?

Yup, that's on our list.

The toothpick holders may actually do the trick nicely

Should be easy to get at a Smart & Final or similar industrial kitchen supply store. The one near my place on Monterey Road probably doesn't have as good a selection of wares as others might-- I've noticed it's light on catering supplies.

Nice! The folks at TAP Plastics are really helpful, too-- it's always worth a trip to their store.

It's for my Secret Project TDK, the filter for which you are now on. If you scroll back through my LJ you should be able to see the entries

Yeah, we checked there with no luck yesterday.

A request for you...

I met you at CC28 and really liked your work/costumes, but I'm not attending CC29 (school! Why must finals be that week?). So if, maybe, this secret project is something for CC29, could you possibly take tons of pics and post them so I can see it? :) Or maybe bring it to Renovation if it's not too much trouble to lug to Nevada (heard you and Andy were in charge of the masquerade there, so I'm guessing you'll be in attendance).

&hugs

This is a project debuting at Gallifrey in a few weeks; it may then appear at CC29 and I hope will be exhibited at Reno in the hall (obviously it won't be in the masquerade:-)

I've added you to the TDK list so you can see the build diary.

I love seeing progress stuff with costumes! I can't believe what some people think of during costruction (further proof that so many people are exponentially smarter than me ;P).
