No, but it will recognize the presence of a glass, and not pour a drink onto the table (which has happened on occasion, when users were SO EXCITED to be ordering a drink from a robot that they hit "go" without ever putting a glass in place).
Since the new stand is designed to put the bowl of the glass at pretty much the same height regardless of type (except Collins glasses), all I have to do is aim the jets properly.
