Sherman, set the Waybac machine for 1968

Here, behind the cut, is the first costume I remember making.

A few notes:
This started with the paper-bag mask, which was a Y-Indian Guides project.
My Dad made the cardboard bits and gave them a base coat of spraypaint,
then gave 'em to me to decorate.
He took my pajama-style commercial costume from the year before, spray-painted it
and attached the cardboard wings and body to it. Voila! my first hi-concept costume.
I was 8.
The funny thing is, my dad always wondered where I got the costume bug.
He and my mom had forgotten completely about this costume until I asked about pictures.
