PS The DJ apologized to me about 10 minutes after the "you're done now" incident. He realized belatedly that our out of town guests didn't realize we were running past our agreed-upon time. He also had been misled by the ONE couple who wanted to dance that there were a lot of impatient dancers. He extends his apology to all of us.
