Things I'm thankful for today

• My beloved Andy. Even when I'm feeling snarky towards him I'm thankful to have him at my side and in my heart. Plus he's a great cook:-)


• Parents who love and support me and my mate


• In-laws ditto. And that I actually enjoy visiting!


• A cadre of delightfully odd and wonderful siblings and other relatives


• A collection of wonderful friends who manage to find the balance between sophistication, child-like wonder & mischievous glee, and who help me maintain the same


• A cool job (22 years!) doing science that has actually affected the real world


• A garage full of motorcycles and a car that's paid for


• life and health


• a cellar full of good wine, with room for more


• shiny things!
