Wine tasting today was great fun. We bought another 6 cases (mostly whites) now that we have a place to store it, and 3 magnums of some "library" vintages that Earl Ault of Cedar Mountain had pulled out, 2 of his '91 Cabernet Sauvignon and one of the '92 (there were only 8 of those still available!).
Thomas Coyne was a madhouse, but his new Malbec and Petit Verdot varietals are great!
One the way home we swung by (ecch) Fry's, and this time I got a FireWire card for my ThinkPad that actually *works* with my iPod photo. It's a combo USB 2.0/Firewire card, so I have a number of options now.
Then we went to Aqui for dinner. While we were there, a PA announcement was made that a customer had 2 tickets for the Sharks game if anyone wanted them.
lobolance scored them, and after trying to find someone for the other ticket, I persuaded
bovil to go with him. He grew up with hockey,
lobolance is a huge Sharks fan, and I don't really care (I'm missing the spectator sports gene as well as the porn appreciation gene, I guess).
So they're off at the game, I just watched Sahara, a very silly (and loud explosion filled) treasure/caper film, and now "Manticore" is running on SCIFI.
oh boy. more loud cheesy movies with no one to annoy.
