So, I wasn't 100% happy with the plain silver chevrons.

Avery transparent full-sheet sticker shock to the Rescue!

In other developments, I have a happy stack of 1x2x35 spars to carriage-bolt together into a support frame for the whole works. We're going to resort to pushpins to hold the event horizon screen in place for this weekend; the shock-cord tensioned version might be ready for Silicon.

I think I just had a fannish attack.

Is this gate going to be floating around a bit?
We aren't certain, but our next trip to the Bay area looks like
it might be for Bay Con '06...

SG-69 appearances

After the campout this weekend, we're definitely giving it a trial run at Silicon as part of the Evil Genius decor. The trick, of course, is that it's going to be 10' high when fully assembled. (note that we've never actually put it all the way together yet).

BayCon 06 is iffy, because Andy and I will be in Des Moines for CC 24, and our "second unit" is handling the LoEG party at Baycon.

But it will likely go to Further Confusion and to Gallifrey One, and probably Westercon and LACon if we can find places to install it.

Those look GREAT!
As a suggestion FOR LATER...

so you can get the lumindisk to shine out a bit more...cut out some of the black horizontal detail, add a black mesh fabric behind it..

dunno if that would work

Actually, the black horizontal detail is supposed to be slots in the silver foamcore. I just ran out of cutting time. :-)

That looks great.

And it's standard Kevin style to keep adding embelishments, all the way up to the deadline. ;)
