Well, number one, I'm letting

bovil sleep in. It's a holiday, after all!

I'm online because our dirt-cheap room at Redding America's Best Value Inn (Ponderosa Inn) finished it's remodel this year and has free broadband in all the rooms! Who'da thunk it?

Secondly, the Roche clan is delaying our gift opening until we can all be there. My sister Kelly, the NP Ranger, has to work at Lassen today, so we're waiting for her to head down from the mountain.

Heather and Ray, with nephew 'Xander, had to deal with a dog emergency last night and are staying at Ray's mom's house in Montgomery Creek, so they won't be here until afternoon at the earliest. One of our joys is going to be watching 2 1/2 year old 'Xander ripping into presents, so nobody's opening anything until they get there...

So, in answer to your original question, I'm taking advantage of the broadband while Andy snoozes.

We did, however, promise to frost and decorate the Christmas cookies this morning, so it's probably time to roust him.
