RIP Marty Gear

I met Marty when I started going to Costume-Con.
He was one of the group of us crazies who founded the International Costumers Guild.
Besides being a great costumer, he was a tremendous source of wisdom on convention running, fan politics, and life in general.

Marty, I'll miss you.

Radar posted about him too. I only ever met Marty at our CC, but he struck me as a real gentleman, and a lot of fun.

I heard the news last night. He was such a wonderful person, and will be greatly missed.

We met him many times on the East Coast when we lived out there. Always such a gentleman, and wonderful to talk to. He will be very much missed. :(
