kprocheGot a lot more work done on him today...
After dinner, I made another head using the pattern, but out of the blue holographic cosmic lizard spandex. Sheesh is this stuff shiny!
The skin went together really well (I'd learned from doing the batting layer) and fit nicely.
I then needed a way to make the eye channels concave... and thread will cut through the cushion form. I finally thought to put a button on the inside of the skull to distribute the tension without pulling through, and voila!
Way too much handwork later, I'd found a way to line the inner edges to my liking, and with a variation on the button trick, fasten the upper teeth into the jaw.
For the photos, I've pinned the eyes and spines in place.
