Today I took on that most dreaded of tasks, cleaning up the Augean Stables sewing room part of our studio.

Much sorting, tossing, setting aside for auction, putting things away in the proper bins in the garage, and hauling of stuff to the storage locker ensued. The result: Floor!

The other half (the computer desk) remains to be tackled, but much of the tech bits need to be triaged by [livejournal.com profile] bovil.

Remember
the sexy cowboy fabric )?

It's called Wrangler (by Alexander Henry Fabrics) and I thought it was mostly gone/out of print except for a bit showing up in some eBay auctions.

I got four yards of it a while ago, and while at [livejournal.com profile] jadecat9's Christmas eve crafting/dinner party started cutting out a camp shirt from it. Of course, since I was being compulsive about matching up up the patterns so all the cowboys would stay pretty, that uses up lots and lots of fabric. I'd hoped to make a western yoked shirt as well but that obviously wasn't going to happen.

Someone told me that Eddie's Quilting Bee in Mt. View actually had some in stock, but today I was in Hancock Fabrics to get some interfacing and found a bolt on the 30% off rack! So now I have 6 1/2 yards more to play with, plus some nice contrasting blue.

Remember the wonderful sexy cowboy fabric (scroll down to see it) that [livejournal.com profile] didjiman and [livejournal.com profile] karisu_sama spotted, and that I bought 4 yards of to make shirts for the Gay Rodeo?

Well, I'm not going to risk messing up an out-of-print fabric to have it ready for this weekends Bay Area Rodeo.

I have just enough to make a really cool camp shirt and a nice western shirt. It'll be worth the wait to do it right.
