OK, here's the outcome of the Great Coiffure Conspiracy for Further Confusion 2006 (AKA Stupid Hair Tricks).

Oh, and it was a great party. The Zebra, aka yours truly the Urban Jungleboy, was being stalked by a 22-year-old tiger (complete with a beautiful tiger-stripe tattoo all down his back) all evening. Sometimes it's fun being prey :-)

OK, we have achieved stripe-itude!

I was in the chair at Sharper Cuts for 2 1/2 hours today, but the result is fantastic.

Pictures of the Zebra-stripe hair tomorrow, after I've been able to wash it (I have to leave it dry for 24 hours to make sure the stripes really set properly).

bovil and I are happily esconced in our room at the Doubletree for Further Confusion, with our good friends unayok, kaysho and kayotae in the next room over.

I'm enjoying a little quietude before the madness that is FC really takes over.

Well, since I'll be enroute back from Boston on the 17th when we were *supposed* to do this, Belinda worked her chemical magic for me this Saturday...

So far, all the women I know think I should keep it this color. bovil thinks that will be too much work. He's probably right.

Stupid Hair Trick Part Two (touch-up, and stencilling in the stripes) is scheduled for Jan 19.

Last week I got the WildEyes zebra contact lenses to wear with my zebra-striped hair, etc at Further Confusion.

Today was day four of breaking in my eyes to wearing the lenses. We got some photos so y'all can see what they look like. The picture itself is pretty horrific as portraits go, but it gets the general idea across:

As you can see (if you know my ususal haircut) the flattop is getting taller. January 17 is the day I go in for the lift-and-stripe job with Belinda.
